the board was based on the bayview c.t.p. and the participatory budgeting efforts in october, as part of the supmental prop k. to fund the larger ctpt investment plans, $2.5 million in traffic fund was in fiscal '20, and '21 and '22. as required by m.t.c. guideline, sfmta established a steering committee, which developed and adopted a participatory budgeting rule book, which is attachment one to thementalo in your pocket. also specify that 85% of the funding be used for operating projects and 20% be used for capital projects. beginning in summer of 2018, sfmta collected project ideas from bayview residents and stakeholders, through multi-lingual outreach. staff received over 250 ideas which were screened for eligibility and feasibility. sfmta then worked with the steering committee to develop project proposals and selected the projects to be included on the final ballot, which is shown in attachment 2. to the memo in your packet. the community voted over seven-week period, beginning in july of 2019. ballots were made availabl

kipp bayview. when i spoke to my daughter she wanted me to share that what kipp did for her because of the strong work ethic they instill in their students. she thought it was going to be hard. what she found because of what they teach you at kipp, it is easy. i asked her what she struggles with. she is passing with 80%. my son is 12 years old. he came reading third grade level and in a year he caught up to the rest of his class. we need these schools. thank you. i've lived in the bayview the last 65 years and bayview district homeowner.e, i think back in the jurassic period when i used to shine shoes during the shelly administration, can't remember right now. i want to thank you for the opportunity to address this board and to read this prepared statement as well as have it read into this body's official record. i stand here on behalf of the united consular of human services located in the bayview. my presence at city hall is next to infrequent. however, today i applaud the city for the past support of the council. i would also hope that the city's relevant bodies and agencies would see the worth of the council and its services to those less fortunate. the councillors serve grandly and magnificently as its executive director. under the leadership, the agency has served the helpless, hungry and hopeless. it is known throughout the community that she goes the extra mile when it comes to servicing the agency clients and managing this diverse staff. it is our community's desire she continue to receive the full support of
