so, a couple things to point on bayview. bayview also has two officers that are assigned to the griffith housing development. that community engagement officers, they answer calls to service and specific housing development. and we have a lot of this we can talk about in terms of those particular offices. so the magic question is what adjustments? it depends on how many officers we have available to work and fill operations. we still have another arm of the department that we have to set up that is the administrative arm including the officers that we have reassigned to do the tri and perform work. and it's a constant challenge to try to keep officers deployed effectively, but as we see in the past few years our overall deployment has dropped and as part of that we've had to make some adjustments with our foot beat deployment. ideally as we hopefully maintain our staffing, that number will stablize and we're looking for ways to actually increase in the bayview and other station where is we know it would be useful and helpful

it started in the bayview. partnering with the bistro allowed me to serve my customers on a regular basis and makes me grow my customer base. i cannot stress enough how these partnerships are important for businesses especially during this time. when the pandemic hit i had just quit my job. when the bistro was launched. being associated with this program in the efforts of the staff that made this happen my business has multiple streams of revenue and opportunities for catering in the community. this has allowed me to about the people and their families during this time. also, the bistro has reached not just the bayview. i was overwhelmed by the amount of people who came to my booth at the outer sunset market and purchased the bistro box. i want to point out mentorship that provided me different perspective. a lot of times a more positive perspective of the business. ththe menthe me mentorship helpy business on organizing finances and being an ear as i go through this learning curve of being a business owner. i

my name is lashon walker and i am a steward and resident of the bayview. i couldn't get myself unmuted fast enough during chief scott's report, so it is not directly related to the report but i do have a question. i would like to know if during future reports you could share some information about foot patrols, particularly for the bayview. there used to be some foot patrol in the bayview and some of those officers were promoted out and they don't then get replaced. i would like to know if they're going to be replaced and also if there is any data on any visual deterrent that a foot patrol might provide with actual crime statistics year to date related to corridors particularly where you don't now have foot patrol. looking at crime data when you have foot patrols and looking at crime data when you don't have them. when you have them and don't have them. i would like to see those numbers because we're missing that now in the bayview. i would like to have to find out if that can be presented at a future agenda item so that i can attend and hear the response
