people in foreign-born countries know about bayview hunters point. i want to explore the possibilities of how we can preserve life in a real way and show up for each other. i would also like to say that this is the time to remain. get out of the benches and get into life and show up and be present. there are things you can do to call your city representative. you can call your governor. this is not just a bayview hunters point issue. this is a san francisco issue. we have to save the city. >> you are talking about federal response. the maybe says a lot of these contaminants are in the ground and kept. what happens to that if we see sea level rise? >> scientist talk about. it's not just water going over the banks and the sea level rising them that way. many years before that happens it will push in underneath the ground and start pushing up. it's like if you put sand in the box and start filling it up with water. you don't see the water in the sand immediately but over time it all becomes wet. it can eat away and spread into the community and the bay.

this truly is an exciting day for us in bayview hunters point. before i say a few words i want to pay homage to the folks who made sure we had a health center. some may recall we were getting sent to silver. some may recall the health system saying we can go over places to receive services but we had giant fight to make sure this health center existed in our community. i want to say a few names and know i'll miss names and some will curse me after i get off the podium. a lot of people fought to make sure we had this new health center. they served orn advisory committee, put in hours and time to make sure this happen. we were founded in 1972 and we're located on third street in the bayview community. in this building that we see on the slide which we own and we're also proud of that as well. here in this building we do a lot of great things for the community. first and foremost we have the growth community that vice president smith will talk about learn we have the first two cohort was city emt, the bayview disaster preparedness classes is held here and mission a local non-profit that teaches the youth how to code and others and do the courses and a bunch of other things i'm not aware of knowing that the technological way we want to make sure we have access to resources and opportunities in our community outside of the fire department but of all fields especially with technology being a growing one. we currently have 110 active members. historically we had 230 more than the bobble today. we are working with the administration and get back to those numbers that we had in san francisco. this is a special photo for us. we have the first black female mayor present in this picture and
