major flooding around the bay area, interstate 5 80 in san leandro and highway 101 in san francisco were shut down due to flooding and several homes in san francisco's bayviewooded as the city received about four inches of rainfall, the city red tagged and number of homes leaving residents without a place to stay on new year's eve. neighbors say runoff from the hillside behind their homes, flooded their yards and patios. the garage door was closed. then we open it and then water just pours out because there was a bit of his landslide. all of the dirt came down and blocked all the gutters, so the water really had nowhere to go. well, this video shared by the san francisco fire department shows several feet of standing water against a sliding glass door. firefighters had to divert the flooded water so they use sandbags to create a river. from the backyard, down the staircases and out the front door and all the sadness that this brings we're lucky to have a certain neighbors who all are here for each other. everybody wanted to each other's homes. we all know each other. nobody was injured, but some neighbors believe this could have been prevented if the hillsi
