elizabeth: eight presidential candidates will be here in iowa this weekend. republicans ben carson, mike huckabee, donald trump, marco rubio and ted cruz all have several stops as they try to reach as many iowans as they can before the february first -- before the february 1 caucus. all of the democratic candidates hillary clinton, bernie sanders and martin o'malley will be here as well. and wherever the candidates go, so do reporters, staffers and volunteers. nearly every hotel room across the des moines metro is booked right now we talked to hotel managers who say there's barely a room to be had. stay, they may need to try an alternative like airbnb. shaina: and all of our out-of-town visitors are taking notice of what a great city des moines is. this new article at politico.com talks about all the changes over the past 15 years. politico says des moines has transformed into one of the richest, most vibrant, and, yes, hip cities in the country. the article says our local arts scene, startups and established employers are all thriving. worth checking out at
