ocean beach and half moon bay and low to mid-60s and it will be pretty chilly and beach hazards in effecthrough this afternoon and that's because we have a strong, southerly swell, three to seven feet. right now current wave heights are starting to drop to six feet in half moon bay and there could be some strong rip currents and bigger waves. i want to show you highs today around california and even parts of nevada. we have lots of triple digit heat with high pressure building and check out bakersfield, los angeles and palm springs at 113 degrees and las vegas at 108. there were quite a few records broken yesterday with triple digit heat. now we also have high pressure building and that means for us we will see mid-90s for the next few days in some of the inland areas. for example, in antioch for today, 95 and look at that, we'll stay in the mid-90s through tuesday and things will start to drop off and then it will be noticeably cooler towards the end of the workweek. overnight low, not too bad. so you can still cool down around the bay and will drop to the mid-50s. san francisco, 55. san

highs today were in the 90s inland with 60s at the beaches. on the satellite you can see the area of low pressure moving to our north. that will help cool the temperatures a little tomorrow but we will still have 80s to low 90s inland. more fog will develop along the coast and bay tonight. highs at the beaches tomorrow will also be cooler with fog and in the 60s with 70s and a few 80s around the bay. high pressure will begin to build in slowly and our temperatures will warm into the weekend. it will be muggy on friday with moonsoonal clouds moving through. more sunshine is expected for the weekend with hotter temperatures. this is the santa cruz beach.will be a great day there with temperatures warming up to near 80 degrees. we have mild conditions at the coast and hot temperatures inland and be careful if you are heading to the beaches and the beach hazard statement in effect until 3:00 this afternoon and if you want cooler temperatures, they're coming, but not until the end of next week. highs today will range from mid-60s at the coach and up to 20 miles per hour so it will be mild. it will tobacco 70 degrees and look for 78 in oakland and san jose, 89 and the hot temperatures inland and the mid-90s and you'll find them in fairfield and out to antioch and low 90s through santa rosa and napa and san rafael. on the cool side a bit and mid-60s through half moon bay and santa cruz up to 80 degrees and it will be sunny and dangerous surf conditions and especially for south facing beaches there will be three to seven feet, current wave heights are seven feet so this could make for strong rip currents and sneaker waves. this is all due t
