we drove out there, we are at the intersection of beau la road and manchester. we drove here from northwest dc. i'm very impressed with how the roads are looking. this is really virtually no ice we experienced on that road. the plows have been out in full force, a very impressive showing of plows this morning. really no problems to report on the main roads in this area that i saw as we drove out here. looking very good for commuters this morning. but of course when you get on the more side streets, like right here, this is manchester, you can see that instantly the amount of snow on the roadway picks up, pretty substantially. so the second you get off the main roads, that is when you are going to want to watch out, that is when things do indeed still get a little bit slick. but again you know, there have been so many complaints, especially last year, during the snow, there were not enough plows or salt trucks on the roadway. but again you know, yesterday, they had 700 salt trucks and plows on the roads. the snowstorm peeked and they had 1200 and we have seen ple
