as i said the application for 2011 that's now off the table was just for the beaufort. if in fact they go forward with plans for the sheet that is another set of issues for us to address to anticipate that and help us with that we are doing a supplemental environmental impact statement that goes beyond what the court has directed us to do to look up the spill response related issues in the wake of deepwater horizon. so we agree with you that there are lots of important and significant issues that need to be addressed and we will address if we get the exploration plans filed and said they will be and applications to drill along with those plans. we will give close scrutiny and will get every aspect of the proposals. >> thank you very much. i deeply appreciate what you just said and the way you're looking into this and i think ackley what needs to be done. thank you. >> you're welcome. >> these are shallow water permits, right? >> i think they are all shallow water. i know the ones, i don't mix ackley with the are going to propose that as you know there's not a lot of dee

of the nonwilderness sections of the arctic national wildlife refuge, along with the chukchi and beauforteas have enough recoverable oil to replace crude imports from the persian gulf for nearly 65 years. 65 years. so the problem isn't that we need to look elsewhere for energy. the problem is that democrats in washington won't let us use it. the problem is that even with gas prices on the rise, they want to tax it even more. so let's make this really simple, madam president. i'm going to propose just two concrete, practical things we can do in washington to give the american people some relief: create jobs and help make us less dependent on foreign sources of oil. two ideas that would have wide bipartisan support. let's increase american energy production, and let's block any new regulations that will drive up the production costs for energy. two ideas that will create jobs and alleviate the increasing pressure on gas prices. let's leave the ideology aside and do some practical good for americans who are struggling out there. let's increase american production of energy with american jobs
