want to tell you a little about a very trying and disappointing day that has happened in the beautiful citybaltimore, and how people have been reckless and harming the city as a whole. we had gotten information yesterday that at the mall we were going to have a large purge of high school students from across the city moved to the mall. we had pretty close to about 250 to 300 police officers staged in and around the mall at the time the youth got out of school. they congregated on the north side of the mall. we moved out platoons to the area. officer started sustaining cinderblock damage, stones thrown at them. the officers proceeded northbound to put the youth in the northern direction. officers got caught on an inclined to which a number of officers got injured. one officer was knocked out, hit in the head. he was taken to the hospital. i just checked on him and he is doing better. his left kneecap was severely damaged. he is at shock trauma. we have two more officers down injured seriously. all will be ok, but sustained heavy damage from rocks, debris, bottles, sticks. these appeared to b
