police also believe they broke into another pharmacy on beaver avenue hours later. there could soon be a crackdown on speeders in des moines... the police department is pushing for a "green light camera" downtown. it would appear at the intersection of 9th and grand... and issue fines to drivers going at least 11 miles over the speed limit. the department says it would make downtown safer for pedestrians. the police chief has pitched the idea to the city manager... and says it's like to come to fruition. but there's no word on when. fast food workers are walking out on the job... in protest for higher wages... hey hey ho ho, poverty wages have got to go more than a dozen people chanted and held signs outside the "mcdonalds" in waukee yesterday. they want the minimum wage to be increased from 7 dollars and 25 cents an hour... to 15. supporters say the current rate doesn't add up to a livable wage for for somebody that doesn't - couldn't go to college, for somebody that couldn't afford that, their family just couldn't make it work- and so they're stuck in that job. 7.
