for a preview of what's ahead in wall street, we get to becky quick. good morning. >> good morning savannah and chuck. looks like the futures indicating a stronger open on wall street. like we're up for the dow futures by 20 points above fair value after we have good news on the jobs front. out with the weekly jobless claims. down by 3,000, not a big drop, down to 420,000. lowest level weeb we've seen, second low et seen this whole year. the trend is going in the right direction as three weeks in a row we've seen lower numbers coming in. a lot of people hopeful maybe we're getting at the point to chip away at unemployment. numbers today on housing. a mixed bag. new home starts out up by 3.9%. permits down by 4%. permits give a lot of indication about what's to come over the next few months. fedex out with numbers that were a little disappointing. right now futures down, at least it looks like opening shares down 2% but gave good news, too. let me tell you quickly. fedex said that volume's improving and starting to reinstate some employee benefits. a go

the judge has admitted that becky donatelli was the one -- it's bad all around.hing good i will say just for the merits itself, clearly, i agree with rick. should have recused himself. however, what i think is important for the merits of the case, it does appear that even some conservative judges disagree with his legal martial rational and i think that's why the white house and department of justice has decided to file because it's important there are legal reasons why his rationale was not sound. not just that if politics that play into this are suspicious. >> i want to push back on this theory that people don't have faith in their democracy. the system does work. judges for the most part should recuse themselves -- the big problem is in the supreme court, frankly. you have scalia, one of the most senior justices in the court, sitting on a case in which his friend, his duck hunting friend, is before the court. >> how do you say the system works? and reason to distrust -- >> when a judge is corrupt, i hate to say it, but the dirt always rises to the top. >> it d
