>> good morning, becky.ey, economists, strategists, and money managers, wall street turned slightly more hawkish. 95% expect to taper at the meeting this week. 85% expect tapering at all meetings for the rest of the year. now let's get to our charts here. you can see what i'm talking about here. this is the projection for the funds rated 2015, average year. it's gone up just a bit from 0.83 basis points to 1%. this follows the fed. if you notice, the media was 75 to one. same thing the fed did last time around. take a look here. the propbgz is for july 2015. it's getting closer. july 2015 is the average date expected. expectations for the balance sheet. that's based on 4.2 trillion dollar balance sheet. this is a new question the last couple of months. i think it's an important one. 51% for 2014, 49% to 50%. take a look at 15 when it comes to those expecting the fed to be more hawkish or think the risk is there. 39%. a little bit more hawkish risk for 2015 right now. some of the comments we made. given giddi

i'm becky quick along with joe kernen. andrew is off this week. novartis announcing a majoring restructuring including several mega deals. it will be paying glaxo smithkline $14.5 billion for glaxo's cancer drug business. the price tag on that transaction could rise to $16 billion if certain development milestones are met. novartis is also selling its vaccine business to glaxo for $5.3 billion. that price tag could rise to $7 billion depending on milestone payments as well. glaxo and novartis are combining consumer units in a join the venture. in a separate deal, novartis is selling its animal health division to eli lilly to $5.4 billion. ceo joseph jimenez says these deal will improve the financial strength and add to growth rates immediately. a lot of moving parts here. it is completely overhauling and remaking this company. >> it just depends on which businesses fit in with the ones you have and how you want to position yourself for the future. we're talking to lickliter, aren't we? >> we are. from eli lilly. >> novartis is up 1.25% in reaction

i'm becky quick along with joe kernen. andrew is off today.have several big earnings reports that came in after the bell from amazon, microsoft and starbucks. amazon reporting profit of 23 cents a share or $108 million. that was in line with estimates. revenue jumped 23% from a year ago to a $19.7 billion figure. that topped expectations. amazon making large investments overseas while expanding its lineup of devices and services, including developing its own original shows and video games. margin remained a riser thin 1%. what about the price hike in amazon prime? the company says it is not facing resistance from customers but didn't give specific numbers. we'll talk more about amazon with an analyst in just a moment. its shares down by 1.25%. i finally figured out why we're playing pearl jam. amazon, microsoft, seattle. >> are they a grunge band? are they from up there. >> i finally figured it out. i love the quizzes they give us. ♪ >> i think of nirvana. >> pearl jam, seattle. >> i have that programmed in. i don't listen to it a lot. >> the
