please join me in welcoming becky norton dunlop. becky? >> thank you very much, john. let me add my words of welcome to the group we have here today on belaugh of the heritage foundation. you know the heritage foundation is an organization, a research and education organization that spines its policy roots in the constitution of the united states of america. that's a very important point when it comes to having a discussion such as the one we're going to have today. we think that if you're an originalist, that you don't look to prior court decisions, you look to the constitution. and what does the constitution say how we should behave and act in this country today. we have a great conversation that we're going to have today. it is one that we need to have more often these days given the challenges that we're facing and given the opportunities that we have. it's certainly particularly timely and it is my privilege to introduce the person who's going to moderate the discussion today, stan rasmussen from the sotherland foundation. they've been very active in the policy di
