for more, let's go to harris faulkner on the ground live in bedford, new hampshire.o work in new hampshire, and sometimes i thought that the voters weren't as indecisive. they were just private about it, and they wanted to be courted until the last minute because they care. i don't know, what do you think? >> harris: well, things have changed. they have changed demographically quite a bit since you were here. in fact, they've changed in the last five years to the tune of 244,000 new people coming in. 214,000 exiting. in that swap, melissa, there is a demographic that you have to pay attention to now. many of them are young, some of them are migrants, some are coming from other parts of the united states, other parts of the world, and some of them will be voting. enough of a significant number that it registers when they do the surveys. they'll be voting for the very first time. what voters are telling me on the ground in new hampshire since i've been here, and over the weeks we've been talking to them by phone and email and skype and facebook and everything else, is

before we do, katy tur is out in i believe bedford, new hampshire.incts that hillary clinton won back in 2016 and you're drilling down on this party registration switch that you may be seeing from voters, right? explain that. >> yes. so hillary clinton won this precinct in 2016 as you said. she lost it though to donald trump in the general election. mostly a republican area. very low unemployment here, something to note. what's interesting right now is they have 17,811 total registered. hi, ralph. it splits between the democrat and republican. unaffiliated voters. what you can do if you're an unaffiliated you can go to the voter registration table and declare yourself for a party and then vote for the primary for that party. so you walk over here, you take your ballot, you go and you vote and you walk out. and then you can -- hallie, undeclare when you walk right out. new hampshire voters -- a lot don't like to be generally aligned with a political party. the republicans who are showing up here today, they don't expect republican turnout to be as hig

in bedford new hampshire. i'm looking at these totals as well.ween bernie sanders, buttigieg and klobuchar, you're on board with about 30,000 votes. let's say some of the others scatter another 5,000. you were still about 50% based on what it did four years ago back in 2016. so again, that is part of the reason we can't make a call yet. looking at this, ten counties across new hampshire. bernie sanders swept them all when it was one-on-one with hillary clinton four years ago. at the moment, 67% of the vote, buttigieg is leading in four of the ten counties. i don't know many people who would've made that prediction prior to the new hampshire primary vote today but at the moment, that is where buttigieg is and he really got a balance based on iowa, and for memories sake, go back a week and a day. in iowa, now we are starting to see this in a whole different light. .1%, unofficial tally in iowa. remember, sanders said he had 6,000 votes more than anyone else in the field on the first alignment and then everyone moved around and this appears to be th
