in bel air a little tough to see with that winter weather but the rain clears our camera lens. 37 atthe airport. temperatures five degrees above freezing there. north and west is where we have temperatures close to freezing. winds picking up, steady from the northeast. they will be wrapping to the north and northwest overnight and gusting. we had gust of 41 in easton. that brings down the wind chill factor. it's not fit for man or beast out there. right now temperatures at that freezing mark, york to fredericks, right into carroll county, so there's still slick road concerns, especially to the north and west of baltimore, south and east not so much. we see the setup, large system. here's the center coming into our state. we won't see some snowy wet showers but for the most part we expect this to be more of a wind and rain effect. but an ugly scenario, tomorrow with clearing, the winds will stay up, whipping around. you see the cold air to the north that the will funnel. temperatures will struggle to get out of the 30s tomorrow and struggling to get out of the 30s as we go into the da

bel air at 39. light winds, really not a major factor. oakland has a little southeast air at 13 miles per hour. there is a front to the west of us, light shower activity near chicago. a little rain-snow mixture. this front will move toward our region. pick up a little moisture. ahead of it, warmer air coming in. so for a few hours tonight, temperatures back down around the freezing mark. then during the day tomorrow, southerly winds, we're going to warm up. cancs of a little rain -- chances of a little rain are early in the morning. to our north. maybe called up for an hour or two of light, freezing drizzle. and maybe in some of the western maryland valleys, it could be enough cool air, just in the lower elevations for a little light, freezing rain. that's something to watch out for. here, east of the mountains, don't expect that. we expect milder temps with more clouds. now, to the west of us, really no super cold air as you see. temperatures there in the 40s. really nothing super cold, until you get up to canada. and that's where the col

bel aire over toward rock hall and kent island all in the low- to mid-30s and that's where we're going. we're going to gradually start from there heading into the 40s. this southwest flow is going to tap into some milder air, not very warm, but milder air with high pressure now in control of most of the east coast right now. that storm system you can still see a little bit of the rotation up in the canadaian maritime but the high pressure is building in. what we're going to be watching over the next few days are several ripples of energy moving along the jet stream which is moving right across the country. the first one is going to happen tomorrow. it's just going to bring a little rain in the area, really not much at all, but it will kind of breeze on through. the next one will happen the day after christmas. not going to have a white christmas, not even going to have any problems on christmas day. the day after christmas, another bit of energy that's going to track across the mississippi river valley and move into our region could bring a little bit of a mixture, a wintery mix of sle
