talk to us about history, yesterday to today, is harry belafonte right? >> well, harry, my good friend harry is always right. let me just say that what i talk about in this book is what i think is important for this hour. hadn't planned to write any other books. tired of writing books. but it was time for this one. what talk about is all the movements in the past where people have organized to resist presidents who took actions or were trying to take actions that opposed our values and then we opposed. and most of the movements i talk about i do the history but i was involved in most of them, and in fact, we won in the case of a lot of them. so it's possible to win if you organize properly and if you are persistent. thinks like the free south africa movement that some of you were involved in. things like the antivietnam war movement, which we thought we lost, and i'm -- i not only was in the movement as a student at the university of michigan. i pretend i was a correspondent and went to vietnam and actually covered the war one summer. but we thought we ha
