ben ferencz, thank you very much for coming on hardtalk. it has been a pleasure.but think about it. thank you. good morning. if you like your weather dry and sunny, you were very happy with the first couple of days of april. in fact, we had sunshine topping and tailing the country. just look at this picture from sunday in south—west scotland. a beautiful day here. similar story in the london area, as well, where you can enjoy the spring blossom. it was the warmest place in the country with 17.2 celsius in st james's park. now, our week ahead will be a mostly dry one. just a little bit fresher, though, and i suspect through the night, some chilly nights will come. a touch of light frost not out of the question. high pressure hanging on in there in eastern areas, but out of the west, these are these fronts pushing in. they will not bring significant rain but will bring a change through northern ireland and western scotland, as we go through the morning, eventually into western fringes of wales in the south—west. ahead of it, though, any early—morning mist will lift

ben ferencz, thank you very much for coming on hardtalk. it has been a pleasure.ink about it. thank you. morning. we've got some rain working its way in from the west but, but before we take a look at that, let's look back at some of the highlights of monday. a beautiful weather watchers picture sent in from cambridgeshire. a lovely afternoon, and we saw highs here of 18 degrees. but the storm clouds gathered in argyll and bute. a very atmospheric shot here. and that's because the rain arrived from the west. now, it's fairly fragmented and it's moving somewhat erratically eastwards over the next few hours, perhaps sitting towards dawn in the south—east corner. behind it, some clearer skies, a fresher start to the day across scotland and northern ireland. more cloud, though, into the south—west. and for wales, the odd spot or two of rain still at eight o'clock in the morning. the bulk of the rain probably sitting across the south coast up into 0xfordshire, east anglia and the south—east corner. but even then it will be fairly light and well fragmented. further nort
