ben lomond 2 inches. you can see the north bay 2 inches. oakland at 2.07 but the coastal hills getting that lift so from half moon bay southward, you're looking at pretty heavy rain as well. low to mid-50s with very gusty southwest winds. airport delays of over three hours and looking at winds over 35 miles an hour. so low 50s in fairfield. you picked up over 2.5 inches of rain as well since the overnight hours. so we're looking at a rainy and breezy day today. the rain doesn't let up until later on tonight. that's our break, but another wave moves in tomorrow at about this time and that's going to spread another inch to an inch and a half in parts of the south bay. so it looks like the north bay has been getting the heaviest now, but with this train of moisture all the way back to the subtropics, here's the way it looks for the next couple of hours. by 3:00 in the afternoon, it is raining everywhere. maybe not as heavy as it was in the north bay, but we're still looking at the wet weather through 10:00. and then by the overnight hours, thi

over two inches in ben lomond. over an inch in san rafael. this is a pretty good storm in the bay area. back to you michelle. >> the downpours caused headaches in most of the bay area. anne makovec is in comp bell. anne? >> reporter: now is a good time to get out and drive because it is not raining. i spent much of the morning driving from san francisco to san jose. the traffic was moving so slowly, people couldn't get too out of control, but i talked to some drivers talking about some major hydroplaning going on. this is what things looked like. a long highway 17 at the summit. several inches of rain fell in the early morning hours. the biggest traffic trouble seemed to come from the guadeloupe parkway. all of the lanes were shut down southbound approaching taylor. there was a lot of flooding there and on the taylor street bridge. two of the lanes have reopened and the rest of the highway will open later on this afternoon, but be aware of that if you use the guadeloupe parkway. take a look allot these pictures. there were a couple of cars th

we'll take a look at the rainfall tallies coming up for you and ben lomond. you can see picking up nearly .10. livermore a few/100ths. the same could be said for castro valley. on live stoem tracker 2 -- stormtracker2, we have clear skies. we're looking for more rainfall for today. it's not in the forecast. as you can see, it's drying to detect the -- trying to detect the rainfall but nothing to show you with the system fizzling out. wind speeds have been picking up. as far as current temperatures, they are in the upper 50s to the lower 60s. fair field right now, 63 san jose. 60 san francisco. as far as the wind speeds there is a wind kicking up especially near the coast and right around the bay. half moon bay bay winds at 16 miles an hour. sfo sustained out of the west at 16. same could be said out towards hayward across the bay checking in at 17 miles an hour. for today, we'll have this, more sunshine a bit of a breeze looking out towards san francisco and the transamerica pyramid. throughout the day at 3:00, and then in the upper 50s. by 9:00, 52 degrees.

we did have some, nearly tenth of an inch of rainfall in ben lomond. livermore had about 1/20th inch, something in san jose, redwood city, a little light rain overnight. then we had a beautiful day with sunshine. these are your current temperatures outside. oakland, santa rosa, 63. livermore 64. concord 64. i'll test to san francisco being one of the cool spots currently sitting at 56 degrees. we'll cool down to the low 40s away from the water overnight tonight. livermore 40. concord 41. san rafael 45 will be your low. san francisco 48. and mountain view 44 degrees. so the view from space, there is a weak ridge of high pressure which is setting up. it's that megaridge but not as strong or close as january so we are not looking at two weeks straight of 15 to 20 degrees above average but what i am looking at is several days of high cloud cover, rain staying well to the north, and pretty mild weather. five to 10 degrees above average which will push us close to if not hitting 70 degrees as soon as tomorrow. so what to expect? it will be a breezy evening.
