ben lomond, the higher elevations.e drying in the south bay. 6:00, though, some fog reforms through the overnight, keeping us somewhat more mild than we would be with the clear sky. then the sun is back for tomorrow afternoon on sunday. highs today in the narrow range, 59 coastside. partly cloudy. 62 in concord and san jose. fremont checking in the a 60. we pick up the forecast animation up. by the afternoon this falls apart and moves out. 5:00 wednesday morning looks like we might be able to get the commute in here dry on wednesday. but boy, wednesday afternoon into thursday, looking particularly soggy and in fact the next system, the second one will be a cold one. so we look for sierra snow. rainfall potential with the first system on wednesday will be light. one to two tenths. but as we go through thursday in really picks up with overof an inch in the north bay. the accuweather seven-day forecast, a little drizzle, then sun. sunnier slightly milder tomorrow. and then monday we are still dry. you download the accuwea

ben lomond 3 inches of rain.n for napa, santa rosa, san francisco, san rafael, dublin, sfo. that broke their streak of 218 days without a 10th of an inch or greater. it's a long haul. everybody stopped that dry streak. winter storm warning until 10:00. snow levels around 5500, 6000 feet. and then tonight it will start to go back up a little bit and then come right back down. another couple hours should probably be the bulk of it and after that things will start to wind down. the next system is rolling along fast. 50s in a lot of the temps, or 40s and the next system has a better tap and give us the warm overrunning and then the system settles in tomorrow for what looks to be a very rainy friday. 50s, 60s on your highs today, you guys. >> a live look now at boreal. traditional kickoff for many skiers and snowboarders. this resort is actually open today. skiers and snowboarders will be greeted with that new snow steve was talking about. several inches fell yesterday as well as overnight. chain control is in effect

the highest rain totals seen over the ben lomond area, just over 2.5 inches and santa rosa an inch and san francisco airport a little over half an inch. hayward and half moon bay less than half an inch and near the san jose airport, not nearly a quarter, still very much welcome. over the next couple of hours we expect on and off again showers and catch a break kind of around noon and then it will dry out a little bit and pick right back up at about 6:00, so there's an interesting break in that rain pattern there, but the estimated rain totals right now are expected to be so far as expected just a little over an inch again through the far northern areas and that includes the burn scars there. the reason thanksgiving night, friday night, this is all encompassing. now san jose down through this area expect to see also just a little over a quarter, so we'll get a couple more chances of seeing some accumulations down through the south bay, but because of that rain shadow, there's still less of a chance, so if you're looking at this map, pinpoint where your home is located, look at the color
