the number for ben lomond may be a little bit on the low side, but even there a quarter to half inchof what you've picked up, hardly a drop in the proverbial bucket. it won't lead to any significant flooding issues. in the sierra the snow will continue to fly, but we're only talking about 3 to 6 inches of additional snowfall in the tahoe vicinity. in bear valley further south they'll pick up another 10 inches or so. i would wait until wednesday for any travel in that direction since the road crews will have to catch up. let's look at tomorrow's forecast. high temperatures underneath the cloud cover, a mix of upper 50s and low 60s, not a whole lot of variation across the entire bay area. the cool spots along the coast, 57 degrees for pacifica and half moon bay, 63 degrees the warm spot. that lack of contrast carries us through the holiday weekend. let's look at the seven-day outlook and we don't have to break it down because everybody is pretty much on that evening playing field, a couple degrees cooler for the coast. basically around 60 degrees through the entire seven-day forecast.

santa cruz mountains to ben lomond more than seven inches of rain. a lot less than to san jose and the tri-valley and san francisco picking up more than three inches of rain. all that causing the flash flood warning just yesterday. now storm ranger is getting a bit of a break. there's a view of it. our nbc bay area storm ranger, our mobile doppler radar, and a refresher. it normally is parked right here atop san bruno mountain, which gives it that great perspective across the central bay. and tonight it has been picking up a few light showers crossing over the marin county coastline. but look what's happening here offshore. another weather system here approaching the coast will reintroduce those rain chances during the day tomorrow and increasing during the afternoon into the evening. and you see that area right there, northwestern sonoma county. there is a chance we may be dealing with some isolated thunderstorms tomorrow as another plume of atmospheric river moisture aims in more towards the central coast as we move forward into monday and tuesday.

ben lomond santa cruz, mountains of half an inch of rain there about 3 tenths in san jose. palo alto, a quarter just under it. santa rosa, though, in san francisco, you can see, you know, just over a 10th of an inch of rain, same with oakland. so the energy of this has transferred to the south and really point south of that, right? so if we head down towards salina sur ey head down to monterey, they've been dealing with heavy showers. let's take you through the rest of the afternoon. this is about 4.30. so that would be a rush hour. still going to have some slick roads out there. but it looks like it's for the showers are concerned. we'll get a little bit of a break. and then later in this evening, you see just another little push here happening with the south bay and then in the overnight it gets a little bit scattered tomorrow morning. again, we've got these hit or miss showers and then finally we get to tuesday night and we start to get some clearing going on just in time for travel day for the holiday. this is what got left to pick up. so you can see between about, you

even in the santa cruz mountains, you can see boulder creek, northwest ben lomond, northwest, los gatos hills north at 15, even down to santa cruz, capitola, soquel. so there's enough there to kind of stir up the atmosphere, which is why we stayed mainly in the 40s, 40s and 50s. right now, days are getting short, but watch the wind here as now, today is not bad. tomorrow is not bad. now watch what happens as we get towards wednesday. all right, all right. you're going to see some really strong gusts here around 4 to 5000ft. so the coastal locations and in the hills and especially north and this is going to enhance some incredibly deep moisture along with a lot of other factors which all spell rain here. not today, not tomorrow, but starting on wednesday we'll have a strong upper low deepen. a surface low will just go incredibly deep. and then that's going to tap into some deep moisture coming up right there from the hawaiian islands. it all equals a rainy pattern at least for some san francisco. oakland north, maybe south. it might take a little bit, but if you're marin county north, th

ben lomond 83. bonnie doon 82 and mount diablo picked up about three quarters of an inch.roy, atherton, san jose, soquel, fremont and livermore. around a third to a half inch of rain. san francisco a quarter and oakland also a quarter inch of rain. although oakland hills and berkeley hills was about 36/100, the moisture source is still there. it's still coming in, but it's starting to drift a little more to the south, so it will start to taper off to the north, even though there are occasionally some bands that go through as this one is right there through marin county, some to the north. although it's more hit and miss to the north now. same for the east. i mean, it's more of a drizzle, light rain, gray skies, but the band is about san jose, southern end of the peninsula, southward more towards santa cruz mountains. hollister, gilroy, morgan hill and no doubt towards monterey. 50s on the temps. i don't think these are changing. there's too much cloud cover, the moisture source, there's a little low, far to the left of that screen that's going to break off, and that will e

although ben lomond wasn't that far away in the santa cruz mountains over an inch casadero was close.picked up two thirds of an inch overall, about a third to three quarters of an inch covered at woodacre, bennett valley, calistoga, berkeley, concord, san francisco, santa cruz, palo alto, all between 0.39 and 0.79. on the rainfall byproduct of that system is some colder air and also when you get the rain and the cold air, what do you get? you get fog. but this morning, sonoma state napa airport and gilroy all dropped to 38. too much moisture in the air to get colder than that, though. forestville, sonoma, fulton, lima and santa rosa all at 39. but fog has become an issue. look at vacaville and fairfield on i-80 down to a quarter mile visibility. santa rosa in there, petaluma airport and novato again not far away. it's sunny, but at those locations they do have fog. same around livermore, over to stockton, although it looks to be getting better at livermore. a little bit of a northerly breeze picking up here. not much, but a little bit. and i expect that to pick up today. napa airport,
