ben mezrich spoke to booktv at the 2010 miami book fair. here's a portion of that interview. >> guest: i got an e-mail out of the blue at two in the morning in february of 2008, and it was a harvard kid, a senior who said my best friend cofounded facebook, and no one has ever heard of him. and i went out for a drink, and it was this killed eduardo savrin who, with mark zuckerberg, his friend, had cofounded the company, and he had gotten kicked out, in his words. he was very angry, felt betrayed and wanted to tell his story. >> host: who is eduardo? >> guest: well, he and mark were two sophomore at harvard. geeky, kind of socially inept kids who were kind of on the outside, and they met in an underground jewish fraternity at harvard. and mark came up with the idea of facebook and went to his best friend and said if you puppet $1,000, you'll get 30% of the company. and that's essentially where it started. these were the two guys who were there in the very beginning, but there's a lot more to the story than that. people who have seen the movie
