time for a look at the weather, here's ben rich. thank you, a very good evening to you.ry for most of us today but, where it was wet, it was very, very wet, that rain coming down here for a weather watcher in cornwall. a lot of heavy downpours across the south—west peninsula drifting southward through this afternoon, one or two showers gci’oss southward through this afternoon, one or two showers across the south—east of wales and the south west midlands and i think the showers are going to tend to fade as we go into the evening. overnight, looking largely dry but with some clear spells and fairly large amounts of cloud in the sky. a cool night, typically temperatures between six and ten but may be dropping a little lower in some spots in the countryside. for tomorrow, similar weatherfor a lot of us, a lot of dry weather, some spells of sunshine, large amounts of cloud. just one or two showers, hopefully not the really heavy ones we have had across the south—west today but there is a change to come across western scotland and northern ireland because we will see outbreaks

here's ben rich. thank you, good afternoon. we had to wait for thank you, good afternoon. we had to waitfor rain, thank you, good afternoon. we had to wait for rain, dry in many parts of the uk but the rain came over the weekend and we started today with the leftovers of some cloud and patchy rain across parts of south—east england. you can see that on our earlier radar picture but essentially today as a drying up story. fine out there for my and in a few places, there is some sunshine. northern scotland doing very well for that at the moment. this is the scene earlier on injohn o'groats. dry for many this afternoon, large amounts of cloud, some sunny afternoon, large amounts of cloud, some sunny spells and a few showers which could crop up just about anywhere but particularly through wales into parts of worcestershire, gloucestershire, down to the south—west of england. some of those shells could be heavy and possibly showery. temperatures 15—17 but a bit cool and breezy for some north sea coasts. a few showers continuing through the evening but most places dry overnight.
