a month ago 22-year-old aya nakano was shot and killed after a minor fender-bender turned into a deadly confrontation. as jade hernandez reports they are hoping that tonight's event provides some much-needed tips. >> reporter: friends flowed through the doors and this is aya's night. that is what happened the night oakland police say a driver shot and killed 22-year-old aya nakano after he pulled over his car after being rear-ended june 12th. a fight ensued and one of two men opened fire an hour before nakano's 23rd birthday. once news of nakano's death spread, they acted on behalf of the family and planned tonight's event to raise the reward money. it took a month to organize the event to honor their friend. >> as we always willing to make sure you were happy and having a good time. >> he loved to have a good time and never down on anything. >> aya's mother is keeping the faith that that will be a break. >> the odds are against us, but with the help of the public, i am hopeful that we will eventually get there and we will catch these monsters. >> we just hope his memory doesn't die, an

so far this morning we have had a couple of different fender- benders. an accident in santa rosa involving a big rig is cleared to the right-hand shoulder so there are no longer any lanes blocked. a car got itself wedged under the big rig. it is in the southbound direction of 101 near hern avenue. if you are leaving in santa rosa you may find flight delays and definitely activities on the right-hand shoulder so it was just reported. otherwise the silicon valley commute is off to a great start here. it's our only problem spot on the roads right now. we have busier conditions stop and go tracy 205 and continuing to vasco road heavy traffic 32 minutes, so one of the longer drive times right now. again, if you commute that every morning, you know that's usually the case 580 and highway 4 always the first spots to back up. we are seeing brake lights "a" street somersville picking up speeds only averaging 11 miles per hour. going outside now, here's a live look at the bay bridge toll plaza. delays because the metering lights have been on since 5:40 so you are
