we turn to benjamin ginsberg. his work as a republican election lawyer spans decades, and includes work on the landmark "bush v. gore" dispute after the 2000 election. >> benjamin ginsberg, thank you so much for joining us. the president and the people around him are saying there was widespread fraud. they are saying this election was stolen. is there evidence that you see to back that up? >> there is not evidence so far to back that up. and it's worth remembering, judy, that those were allegations that were made before this election, based on past elections, with absolutely no proof of that. and so the credibility of these statements now are being called into question by courts. >> woodruff: i'm hearing some of the people around the president say, well, you know, we gave al gore 37 days to contest the election result back in 2000. you can at least do the same for us. is it an appropriate comparison? >> well, i think that a candidate taking his or her time to pursue recount and contest remedies is allowed under st

. >> benjamin ginsberg, i appreciate it. we have lost another contributor, biden's team, jen is joining is now. how concerned is the campaign about it? >> we are ready to govern. >> we have seen his tactics weeks or if mott monnot months. with every effort is delaying us and getting people on the agency review team and we need to talk about covid and moving forward. >> are you being paid on the transition? >> the gsa have not signed off of this and makes it hard to hire people. what is not having that sign-off? what does it mean in a nuts and bolts way? >> well, money is certainly apart of it. that's something that does have an impact. of course i am getting staffs in to be able to prepare but we are also talking about trying to fill 4,000 political point jobs. we are talking about national security officials having access to classified information as you were talking about earlier in your show and about our policy experts who are coming back to government that may have left during the trump administration who wants to roll

joining us now republican election lawyer and cnn contributor benjamin ginsberg thanks so much for joininggeous, completely baseless performance from guiliani, does it suggest the trump campaign has given up on winning legal victories in court, has turned instead to lying to the american public? >> yes, it actually sounded like a disinformation campaign. but, wolf, i think it is going to come crashing down because it's not a well thought out strategy. number one, if you allege there's nationwide fraud, that's not limited to just the presidential election. that would have to be true for all the down ballot races as well. and republicans think they had a pretty good night on november 3rd. i can't imagine that there are senate candidates, victorious senate candidates, house members, state legislators who want to run this election all over again because rudy guiliani says it's fraudulent. number two, wolf, they've got a problem with this idea of denying the certification of results. when you certify a state's results, it's not just the presidential election. it's all races on the ballot. so th
