speaking of israel, the president made a phone call to benjamin netanyahu to discuss this unprecedented deal. tell us about that conversation. what do we know? >> reporter: that's right. that's one of the many phone calls the president is making or will make. he also talked to the king of saudi arabia and talk with congressional leaders. but this call with the prime minister benjamin netanyahu, and we know that they don't have a good relationship, and it is strained in recent weeks, and perhaps more so in the coming weeks. according to various phone calls, one from the white house, the president, of course, told the israelis that their security will not be at stake with this iran deal but that is not the readout we got from the israeli government. the spokesman for prime minister netanyahu was tweeting erlarlier that he told the president during the phone call that this deal as it stands right now will threaten israel's survival. i imagine we'll hear from the prime minister in the coming days. >> the deal on this framework would threaten the survival of israel and not block the path to

right away you saw benjamin netanyahu tweeting right out, but also president obama saying he was going to contact benjamin netanyahu. >> reporter: listen, they're all still negotiating, including prime minister netanyahu and what we did see in recent months was kind of a walking back of the demand that iran eliminate all of its nuke infrastructure -- nuclear infrastructure, to agreeing to significant cutbacks in its infrastructure. the reality is iran is a signatory to the nuclear non-proliferation agreement which allows countries that sign to have peaceful civilian nuclear programs. and so right now it sounds to me hike the prime minister -- like the prime minister knows that there are further negotiations to go, and he is still taking that hard line before they get to the technical agreement on june 30th. liz: i think your point is excellent. i side with the israelis, but that's not a negotiation. that's a one-sided, major demand that i don't think would really reach anything. i want to go back to christopher. fox news' bret baier said earlier on fox business today, he called what's
