news 4's jackie bensen joins us. she's live in suitland, maryland. jackie? >> reporter: wendy, police learned tonight that a second car pulled up here at this home after the realtor did. neighbors thought it was just someone she was showing the house to. prince george's county police detectives went door to door and handed out flyers to people in the 2300 block of du pont avenue in the suitland area. they want to know if anyone saw the man who entered an empty home while a real estate agent was inside. police say he tried to sexually assault her but she fought him off and he ran away. >> around 7:30 last night if anyone in the area saw someone that looked out of place or was acting suspicious, please call us. >> reporter: there are only about a dozen homes on the quiet street. most neighbors were unaware of the incident until detectives returned to the scene this evening. >> everybody's shocked, scared that something like this would happen. you know, when it happened, nobody had, you know, noticed anything. they're just thinking, oh, you know, somebody comin

jackie bensen is live to tell us about this. jackie? >> reporter: we have two men shot in the legs, we're told. non-life threatening injuries. two suspects in custody. we are told that as police closed in on those men in a white cadillac, they drove that cadillac the wrong way at a high speed down east west highway with a 1 1/2-year-old baby. we are told it happened in a wooded area behind the apartment complex. two men are adults. we do not believe they are teenagers, they are over 18. they were shot about a block apart. it's possible they were shot at the same time and one man ran. lookout was given for a white cadillac two miles away from here. police spotted that cadillac. they attempted to stop it. the passenger jumped out and the driver accelerated the cadillac backwards down east west highway with the baby in the back. we are told a prince george's county police officer was injured during that effort to apprehend the suspects. the suspects shot at police officers. that is not true. we are told the baby is okay. i'm told it is a l

reporting from annapolis, jackie bensen, news four. >>> a prince george's county council member caught speeding last week will no longer be driving her government-issued car. yesterday, the county took away karen toles' car. last week, an officer clocked her at going more than 100 miles per hour on the beltway. but she only received a warning. toles has apologized and said she plans to enroll in a driver improvement class. the police department will conduct an executive review to determine why the officer only gave her a warning for speeding. >>> metro's general manager is speaking out about a controversial ad targeting president obama posted at a metro station in arlington. the ad in question is posted at the end of the platform at the clarendon metro station. promotes a film called "sick & sicker" created by a libertarian group that opposes president obama's health care law. the ad includes a profane way to tell the president where to go. yesterday the general manager sent an e-mail out to metro employees saying he's deeply offended by the ad, however, the ad will stay up. sarles say
