we're live now with the chief of the berk low fire department with the latest on this fire. >> reporter scene all night since this fire started and all throughout early morning hours. a ladder truck came out to the scene a short time ago to shoot water on to the top of this warehouse that burned last night. they'll use that ladder truck to watch pore hot spots and also to take some overhead pick tiewfers what's left of the structure. here to tell us more is the berkeley fire chief. this was a six alarm fire. it was a massive undertaking. >> that's correct. it was a five alarm fire that came in at 7:54 p.m. last night. initial reports had fire coming from 1823 eastshore. when crews got on scene, they saw rapidly changing fire conditions as well as power lines that were dropping across fire apparatus hampering the efforts of the firefighters. we asked for additional resources throughout the county and the firefighters made a great stop and kept the fire to the building of origin. >> the power lines was one of the chalz you faced. talk about other challenges. >> not only did we have pow
