we had two separate crashes one in richmond another in berkeley.ht-hand shoulder. but look what it's doing, speeds below 25 miles per hour, richmond, berkeley down towards the macarthur maze. but this is the real problem area right there. so the drive time is in the red now up to 40 minutes on westbound 80 from the carquinez bridge to the maze. so if you commute that every morning you will want to give yourself extra time there. otherwise your usual slow-and- go conditions right now from the altamont pass. the nimitz in oakland 880 still quiet all the way up towards downtown. so westbound 580 you can see those brake lights coming from tracy actually 205 and then it's one continuous long line of yellow traffic sensors meaning speeds below 40 miles per hour all the way towards 680. so we'll go flying over highway 4 once again. this is our other slow spot. look at those speeds. that's from a street to somersville and then we see green sensors again meaning things improve out towards concord closer towards willow pass. coming up, we'll check the bay br

overnight fire at the world famous chez panisse restaurant in berkeley.ters just arrived on the scene within the last half hour or so. christie smith joins us live with details. good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you, laura. that's right. chez panisse co-founder alice waters got here maybe 15, 20 minutes ago. she was briefed by berkeley firefighters outside of the restaurant and then they took her inside but before that happened she got a hug from the general manager of the restaurant who has been on scene all morning long. waters started the restaurant in 1971. her organic sustainable food became world famous. the start of california cuisine. a deputy fire chief showed us the damage and he says a sprinkler inside made all of the difference perhaps stopped the building from burning down. it's an all wood building. the fire started outside of that building about 3:00 in the morning. single alarm fire. firefighters found smoke and flames at the rear and front and side of the building outside. damage they say spread inside. they knocked it down quick
