the area of this week's drill is between the berkeley contra costa border to the east, and the uc berkeleyhe south. of course the goal of this drill is to prepare people who live here for a wildfire. if one happens, they need to know what alerts to watch out for, what to grab, and how navigate an evacuation route. these are all things they'll learn today. during the first evacuation drills here, first responders drove into the narrow windy hills during the alert to tell residents of the wildfire threat. they knocked on doors and used a loud speaker which is new for the police department here in berkeley. for those who aren't participating in this morning's event, you can prepare for a wildfire on your own. you can sign up for emergency information and evacuation notices, pack a go bag for yourself and your family, and bow sure to practice those evacuation plans. back out here live, people out here, law enforcement, fire officials here to get ready for this evacuation drill. they all have their own group going to different parts of the city to let people know about this evacuation drill. so
