karen: we continue with the berkeley beantown festival music special. berkeley students, professors and alumni have all graced the commitment to providing entertainment for the boston community. the provost larry simpson joins us now to give more on this festival's impact, students, family and the community. welcome, how are you doing? larry: i am doing great. karen: talk to us more about how the festival changes every year. larry: i will tell you how it has changed over the past few years. only first got involved, our intent was to bring all of the world's bies stages, but as time went by, it became increasingly clear to us that we have such a rich, rich array of talent within boston, within berkeley. so now the festival really focuses on the talent, the skills and the people we have right here. we actually think this may be a way for future festivals to to take advantage of the talent in their own community. karen: and of course berkeley is year round. larry: that is correct. we are committed to this. that is why we do the festival. we had an opportun
