berkeley is speaking out tonight. police say he robbed a store downtown while armed with a chain r. crumb of water. henry lee talked with the man who is now following a legal claim against the cityed like after he was shot by berkeley police officers say they shot bryant, a robbery suspect because he threatened them with a 13 ft long chain. i still i was shot point blank. in the face, bryant said he was going through a mental health crisis and that police didn't have to shoot him. they prejudgment that those guys do me for who i am.take, but they can't take that path.t happened? nobody could take it back. it all began with walking store in downtown berkeley on january 2nd. police say bryant paid only a dollar for $14 worth of food when confronted, bryan allegedly pulled out this long chain and threatened to break all the windows. brian told me he was returning items and thought he was getting a refund. he says he was surprised when a worker locked the door. the worker later opened the door and left the store to call police. brian also left officers caught up with bryant a couple blocks away at tang center, u. c. berkeley's medical clinic. you got him pretty much pinned in here.

berkeley unified school district. he said he's excited to have this agreement reached with the teachers union and in partnership with the city of berkeley to vaccinate all of the district staff there's about 1500 people in their staff and now they're going to be able to vaccinate them and they hope to do within 3 weeks starting on monday so big news for the district, we know teachers have been fighting for this for a long wanting to get the vaccine before they go back to in person classes now as i said they'll take about 3 weeks or so to get everyone vaccinated teachers will be able to sign up for the designated as shots on a website where they can click on it get their appointment it will be separate from the vaccinations of other people so it's just as new for them. tentative timeline has been set for kids going back to school depending on the vaccination schedule. it includes preschool kindergarten through second grade going back on march 29th, then after spring break grades, 3rd through 9th going back april 12th grades 10th through 12th going back april 19th and once teachers are vaccinated kids will be going back to sch
