in berks county we have reports of heavy sleet falling. what you see in the pink through upper montgomery county moving into chester county this is either freezing rain or sleet or could be a combination of both. so we're kind of seeing a wintry mix across the area. we zoom into the philadelphia area, major interstates, 76 75 in south philadelphia there is one small area of precipitation falling. this could be a mix of sleet, also freezing rain. be careful. anything light on untreated surfaces will be freezing causing problems. in parts of new casting and kent counties we're also seeing this move in. as we go through tonight these things will be an issue. temperatures are not expected to climb above freezing. north and west of philadelphia, in the 20s. much of south jersey and delaware at or below freezing. so for the rest of this evening, we expect freezing rain or freezing drizzle even around 7:00 tonight. temperatures stay below freezing. by 9 p.m. freezing rain, still a concern. even sleet or wintry mix. this continues even as we get c

right in parts of berks county, just south of reading, across 176, we could see light freezing rain or even sleet falling. this continues into parts of chester county. lancaster county is also seeing freezing rain most likely in some areas. we could be seeing a bit of a wintry mix with sleet falling as well. so either way, that's where you see the pink. temperatures here below freezing. something we definitely will be watching out for as we go through this evening. be very careful with any icy spots. you do notice some little shades of pink showing up around the philadelphia area. this is an indication we're starting to get a little more moisture moving in which is not good when you have those temperatures below freezing. it's not exactly coming in the form of snow. we are continuing to watch all the moisture around harrisburg. this will keep moving in as we go through tonight. winter weather advisory will be up for everybody until early tomorrow morning, 6:00 so any treated surfaces will obtain icy side. as we go through the rest of tonight, future weather is showing moisture move in

there are areas of pink in northern bucks county berks county. that is where it could be especially icy out there with possible sleet, falling right around franklin township, and then you will see the snow continuing in allentown this morning. you know down i-95 through trenton where it is a rain at this point. in atlantic city it is rain. down in delaware it is rain. we have had an inch or so around the in metro area but we could expect as much as 8 inches to fall in the poconos where it will continue to be snow and not change over to rain. the is there warm front ahead of the low pressure system. after this cold front sweeps through really cold air kicks in. it will be really wind think afternoon. future cast shows the the changeover continuing. rain continuing through about 8:00 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 o'clock is last gasp of that storm. a maybe drizzle around 2:00 in the afternoon but still in the 40's then. then cold air comes in and we can really get some freezing overnight. so today's high will be 45 degrees. we may see sunshine before the day

chester county berks county could start earlier than midday. late afternoon, heavier snow reducing visibilities. again, sticking on the surfaces. so if you're in a rush for to get to dinner, leave extra time because it will be tough for traveling. 4 to 8 inches falling in the poconos, 4 to 7 lehigh valley berks county much of chester county. that's a significant snowstorm. 2 to 4 inches across the i-95 area in philadelphia and now if we have a little bit more snow before a changeover the amounts might go up a little bit. we'll have to check on that and follow it. 1 to 2 inches down farther to the south and east. why is the snow limited? because warmer air is coming up from the south. so by 9:00 saturday night, getting warmer. we're changingoffe inging over to the icy mix and then rain. but it will take a while. that it's why we'll get more snow and a little bit more ice in the lehigh valley. by sunday morning, it's either rain or it's nothing. and it's above freezing. so we'll be in good shape sunday morning. sunday is a decent day. go out and

to the radar where at this hour cloud are starting to build in here and generally lehigh valley and berks county as well as in the poconos where we are finding any actual snow right now. we can zoom it out and find out that there is more on the the way the thing is, this is definitely a very very light snowfall that is coming through here, folks. i don't think we are talking a quick coating maybe up to an inch through the northern tear of our area as we expect from yesterday. there could be slick spots and a nuisance for your travel this morning especially as morning progresses we will see that slide through our area from northwest to south east but behind it, i think that end up being the bigger legacy with this front because a the temperatures will start to plumet here with time and just slowly decline throughout the course of the day but we will start off with light wind but by 8:00 a.m. that breeze will be noticeable. the it will be cranking to sustain wind to 14, 15, 20 miles an hour and that continues through lunch into the evening. with that breeze that means of course it will feel

again, the northern parts of our area poconos, even parts of the lehigh valley, berks county could seelight snow showers, maybe even a dusting in some spots. not a lot of moisture to work with. still something to mention. future weather as we go throughout time clouds today, mild today. those are the two weather headlines and, again, a chance for a snow shower north and west. mostly cloudy overnight, we'll keep the temperatures stable. sunday, a repeat performance. warmer into the low 50s. still, mostly cloudy skies with a boundary to the north. high pressure still in control. giving us that southerly flow and cloud cover. by monday we have rain in the forecast, light stuff. we're not talking about a big storm here. then to the north and west a wintry mix. the ground stays warm enough so we shouldn't see a lot of problems. we could see some snow in the poconos. that would be the spot picking up most accumulation. ending as snow or sleet later on monday. we'll watch the stçorm system moving and bringing in the colder air. 42 to 45 winds on the light side southwest. we'll have that today

but the big story is the attempted abduction of a young girl in berks county. walter perez is live now in spring township. have you the details here. >> reporter: and brian we just received word literally moments ago of another case, an attempted luring this morning in reading authorities do not believe that this morning's case is linked to the attacks in the story but regardless it's one more reason why parents in this part of berks county remain on high alert. >> investigators are on the hunt for this man the suspect described as a 6 foot tall hispanic man is accused of trying to pull an 11-year-old girl into his truck investigators say that the incident unfolded when the youngster walked home from school in spring township. >> somewhere near the intersection of belmont and wilson, he exited the vehicle and grabbed her by the arm and she yelled for help and kicked him and broke free and ran for help. >> authorities believe the attack can be linked to similar attacks within a 15 mile radius since the beginning of the year, as this earlier composite sketch reve

so northern lancaster county, most of berks county included here where we are beginning to find that snow but the thing is we will likely see this somewhat fizzle as it arrives over chester, montgomery bucks county and down into philadelphia you will end up with lighter totals there. coat to go an inch is a general expectation generally to the northern tear of our area if you want higher totals you get to the poconos but it looks like southern new jersey and delaware will essentially get gipped of accumulation but might see a few flakes before the morning drive is all said and done. here's where we stan temperature wise near or at or below freeze ago cross northwestern tear but we are a few degrees above freezing in philadelphia and all points south. that does again work against you if you are trying to see snow accumulation but don't get too used to these temperatures above freezing because they will continue to, decline, as the day progresses. so we expect to not only those dropping temperatures but also to see some whipped really to begin to kick in here. that is going to end up b
