there's not a whole lot of rain around the philadelphia area or new jersey or delaware, but again, berks county, chester county, montgomery county, middle of the night most of this is falling, and so by the time you get up in the morning, you could be seeing some street flooding, especially the rivers and creeks are so low because it's been so dry for a while, but here we are in the morning rush, locally heavy showers around. not everybody's getting rain in the morning, and later on during the day there may not be very much at all. a warm day, relatively humid, so not too bad for the afternoon rush. even thursday morning, not too bad. but we have moisture coming up from the south, has nothing to do with the tropical storm. this is related to a stalled front. it's kind of tropical moisture, but not from joaquin. and here we go friday. we get smashed with another round of rain. that's round two. this is round three if it manages to come up here and that would cause some problems. joaquin has strengthened, it's getting closer to hurricane strength. it's not moving much. it's just been meandering h

we had a couple of showers in south jersey, but heavier and steadier rain in berks county and lancaster county right now, sign of things to come. heavier showers in the lehigh valley are now in the pocono mountains and moving into new york state, but there's a lot more rain back to the west towards baltimore and washington, d.c. look at this tremendous area. now if this comes over any part of our area, there is likely to be at least some flooding out of that. that is a lot of rain causing a lot of hours of heavy rain. 80 degrees in philadelphia now. got up to 85 today. more than ten degrees above average. not that far from a record, but the warmth and the high humidity helped to keep this rain intact overnight, and so here we are, midnight it's still hanging in there. there's chester county, there's the lehigh valley and poconos. look at all of that heavy rain. most of that occurs in the middle of the night. there's still some showers around for the at least beginning portion of the morning rush here, and then it gets a little bit quieter during the day tomorrow. this is just round one.

berks county, especially eastern portion of the county, still getting pounded. northern chester county as well. this is the same view we have been showing you for the last hour. i'm not just chasing where the heavy rain is. it's still over the same area. that goes from collegeville up through harleysville, marlboro, douglas, limerick continues to be in that rain. some of this is one to two inches per hour. so that means with it not moving, some places got one to two inches just in the past hour. allentown still in some of that heavy rain. you can see in the upper bucks county, richland, highland, that is some really heavy stuff going up toward easton right now. about an inch per hour in that portion of the area. now, this other area, heavy rain and thunderstorms, fortunately this continues to move through dover because they have had over two inches of rain before and this is one more inch per hour. there is a flood watch for much of the area until 8:00 and flood advisories right now. meteorologist sheena parveen will tell you how much rain has fallen. >> when we
