snowing in the berkshires and into connecticut. had over a foot of snow in parts of the berkshires. over two feet in towns in vermont and upstate new york and snow falling in the berkshires and barrington had a foot of snow and still coming down out that way. even flurries blowing into central massachusetts, petersham to worcester. and flurries but they are out there. the winds off the water from nantucket producing a cup of flurries as well. it is cold out. not huge for our area but an inch and a half in barre into worcester county but the heavy totals berkshires and vermont like we talked about last week and all weekend long. look at those temperatures -- temperatures, not wind chills, 30 in worcester and 35 in boston right now. the wind advisory is still in play. you saw that tree down in weston. the wind advisory goes until 6:00 for much of the area until 10:00 for southeastern massachusetts and you know we got to talk about wind chills when it is like that. so we are tracking the next storm system already and looks to bring at least some rain, potentially some snow as well for

the berkshires having seen more than what we're waking up to now. a couple more flurries through the morning hours. our main concern today is the

hill towns lead into the berkshires, about 3 inches. locally here, eastern mass, we are only talking less than an inch of snow. mostly just that coating thanks to some flurries that we are seeing in place right now. so additional snow will be exactly that. a patchy coating of snow in the forecast up to the berkshires we get an additional 1 to 3 inches. higher elevations and stretching into the green mountains. the snow i think will be bit of a headache this morning because it is causing those slippery conditions, but overall, winds will be much bigger sustained 15 to 30 and gusting 15 miles per hour. that strong enough to do some damage. so it is going to be windblown at 8 a.m. most of the local flurries drying out and future cast is painting a mostly dry picture with lingering clouds and wind, yes. i think we will have a couple of stray flurries both late morning and midday and even afternoon. we will see that slight chance for flurries in boston, lawrence, beverly and bedford all with highs in the 30s to 39 in nashua, new hampshire. 4

. >>> breaking news on berkshire hathaway. quick just spoke with warren and joins us with details. >> berkshire hathaway fcc filings that just came out show that the company has taken a stake in three of the four major airlines. that would be american, united and delta. but we can report that warren buffett has also taken a stake, berkshire hathaway i should say is the fourth major carrier as well, and that is southwest. this move into airlines is a spret hobing reversal for buffett. if you follow him, he has shunned the industry for at least two decades ever since he made the big volatile investment in us airways back in 1989. that was preferred shares of us airways. buffett bought $358 million worth. but by 1994, they had written down that investment to $89.5 million. that is just 25 cents on the dollar of the original investment. for buffett, this was a pretty painful experience. he wrote about it as a mistake in almost every annual letter. only one year where he didn't mention it and in the end berkshire made about $250 mi
