>> reporter: the ship is just north of bermuda.st check, it was about 60 miles north of bermuda. but any minute now, it's expected to start making a turn from bermuda and start heading southeast towards the u.s. coastline. the idea being that as the storm moves north along the coastline, this ship and other members of what's called amphibious task force 26, there's five other ships involved, will come up behind the storm, and right along the u.s. coastline, and as soon as civilian authorities, like the delaware governor you spoke to a few minutes ago, if they ask for federal help and the federal government says yes, this is one of the u.s. military assets that could provide that aid. they can land helicopters on the ship and fly supplies and people on to shore anywhere they need fop they have underneath the deck, they have two large landing craft that can carry 160 tons of supplies, material, water, food, medical stuff, and they can take those and take them right into shore. they don't need a dock. they don't need a pier. >> larry,

not going to have any impact on anybody except a little breezy in bermuda. that could have impacts for the eastern part of the u.s., not for a couple of weeks. we will have plenty of time to talk about it. >> shepard: watching your loop i guess of the infrared satellite loop and show there's is more rain coming. if you watch the last picture here, there is atlantic city. looks like new york city is going to get hit again on the backside of this thing. >> one last brand of rain that moves through from the storm. the win wheels, that cycle on through and move through the area, we have one last band that is moving through the philadelphia area right now. it will cut back through jersey and then back to new york city and a there will be a little bit of wind with that as well. as julie was seeing winds in the 20 to 30-mile an hour range. we will see more of that for the afternoon. >> shepard: i assume beyond you let me know, i haven't looked this up. usually the aftermath of a hurricane means dry and sunny and awesome day for the beach or the pool. >> if you can

. >> the bermuda high pressure is pretty strong this time of the year and given the clockwise flow around that it's going to take it to the northwest tonight there are a couple cold fronts moving through the midwest right now. that's one aspect with the severe weather over michigan and indiana but also over kind of the northwest in through british columbia and alberta, that's another cool front that will make it through great lakes and northeast on saturday. that's going to help draw the storm system in. and one thing to keep in mind. the storm track goes to the path of least resistance. where the pressure is going to be lowest so it's going to cut into those cold fronts before it eventually gets swept out. that's why we think it's a pretty good likelihood we're going to have hurricane force... major hurricane force conditions along the coast of next north korea as we roll on in through saturday afternoon, saturday night and perhaps category two coming up to long island and category one for the remainder of new england late this weekend. >> brown: we just saw some pictures of people getti

history tells us that this sort of track or the start of this track may curve it, bermuda or the carolinas not out of the woods. this thing of more immediate concern, northwestern caribbean, this will get into the gulf of mexico. the computer models are developing it into something, the texas coast line or florida coastline closer towards the weekend. we have to wait and see. more indication later today and tomorrow. texas would take the rain from that system, but if it lingers in the gulf of mexico past the weekend, then it will become a stronger than just a tropical storm. another nice day for rescue and recovery efforts across the northeast. that's one little bright spot as that -- really, really odd, obviously, to see the rivers rise to these record levels with days of gorgeous, dry weather and these folks being -- having to flee from their homes as the rivers rise where they've never been before in parts of new jersey and connecticut. >> thanks very much. it is incredible to continue to watch. you do think when these things pass, that's when it's done, but for new jersey, for vermont,

they include places like the cayman islands, bermuda, gibraltar, which are all tax havens today. the cayman islands issues. it's the world by some measures the world's fifth biggest financial center. these overseas territories never became independent from britain. they are partly independent from britain, but britain plays a very careful behind the role hands off but reassuring controlling role behind the scenes. these overseas territories, the governor is appointed by the queen, and if you go there, british influence is everywhere. these are british tax havens and this is the city of london playing a very powerful game. and what they do, these places, we uncovered a kind of division within the british government as these jurisdictions were starting to become independent and starting to become semi-independent and there was a general decolonization going on. there was a division between people in the u.k. treasury, particularly the revenue authority, particularly worried about we are going to lose money to these tax haven. will get our wealthy british people putting their money
