"the new york times" said they have a total population of 147,400 individuals. that means if you believe u.s. companies really rn that much in these locations, their profits worked out to be $873,000 per person. this is, of course, nonsense. some of my colleagues may echo the cries of these tax-avoiding companies and say the real need here is for corporate tax reform. but many of these companies are currently paying a tax rate of 0%. 0%. so unless you believe corporate tax reform should eliminate taxes for u.s. companies, the argument simply does not hold water. again, the amendment simply bans corporations. once incorporated in the united states, but have since incorporated in bermuda or the cayman islands, a maneuver that is undertaken to avoid taxes from receiving federal contracts. we need to send a clear message. if a company is goi
