. >> first warning weather coverage continues now with meteorologist bernadetteed woos -- bernadette woods who has a closer look at the storm that tore up the east coast. >> hello there, kai. this is amazing. a lot of people were shoveling before they were raking. and they had their first snow before their first freeze. here's when the storm came in at the height of it. a lot, changed over to snow. it was during this time frame that it happened. you can see the bright colors. that's when it came down to the southeast. it did mix a little farther north and west. but you don't have to go that far to the north and west, where you saw most of the snowfall accumulations. this is what it left behind. not that far away from the city, there was a coating in the area. and you see, it jumps to that 3- to 6-inch mark, through central parts of western maryland. and see how that swath goes up to the northeast and actually intensifies to a 12-plus inch area around new england and upstate new york. so yes, this is impressive storm for any time of year, let alone october. we'll have our forecast sho
