bernie sanders: my pleasure. : i want to ask about the decision in favor of a holding the affordable care act. what would you say in response to the decision to chief justice roberts? guest:bernie sanders: i think it was the right decision, consistent with the way we voted in what we intended to vote for in the affordable care act. i would also say that we are the only nation on earth that doesn't guarantee health care. the idea of throwing 6.4 million people off of health insurance would be totally absurd and disruptive. i'm happy with the decision. john: you did a press conference in which you unveil a plan with the estate tax. there's a variety of things involved there including tax breaks for dynasty trust and billionaire surplus tax. i'm curious whether the objective is deficit reduction or income inequality. what is the driving ambition? bernie sanders: we have massive and grotesque levels of income inequality. the top 10th of 1% owns as much wealth as the bottom 90%. we have got to address that issue. one o

bernie sanders. just days after he had his big campaign rally kickoff in burlington, vermont, bernie sanders ended up speaking to a packed house in davenport, iowa. they had to open a wall to make room for the crowd. "the new york times" is describing that crowd in davenport as the largest crowd attracted by any candidate from either party all year. bernie sanders. then on saturday folks at a local brewery in ames, iowa, were clamoring to get a seat to see him speak. people who couldn't get in were hanging out trying to peek through the windows, to be a part of it, though they couldn't fit in the room. yesterday, again, bernie sanders spoke to a crowd of almost 3,000 people in minneapolis. the room got so crowded that the overflow crowd spilled into the plaza outside. everybody turning out to see bernie. now obviously it's still early in the race. it's so early you can't even call it a race. it's early to extrapolate from all this. since bernie sanders has gotten in, it has been good news for bernie

but bernie sanders has a way to fix that. he has now written a formal request to be democratic party chair, debbie wasserman schultz. and in this request he asks for more debates to be scheduled in the primary process. yes, that makes sense. in a candidacy like his running against a strong front-runner, you want a lot of debates, right? debates are probably your best shot for making the biggest national splash with your campaign. that's one. he wants more debates. he also asks for the debates to start basically now. start them sooner. and there's a reasonable case to be made for that request, as well. the last time democrats were competing for an open seat in the white house, the 2008 election, so the campaign started in 2007 heading into 2008. at this point in the campaign process, that year, the first debate had already happened more than a month ago. the first debate was in april 2007 for the 2008 election. so bernie sanders is saying, listen, look at what we've done in the past. that worked pretty well for us. let's get s
