our meteorologist howard bernstein is here with the full forecast. >>> cold and wind in the immediate future. gaithersburg, they have an inch of snow this morning and even the wife in upper montgomery said a half inch up there. you can see the band. it was persistent from late last night through early morning and from 10:00 to 6:00. we had that snow even down to laurel picked up a bit. had some sun earlier and the clouds have come back and with a ripping northwest wind we can't rule out a flurry or two but nay cumulating snows are pretty much done. temperatures and wind will be the problem the rest of the afternoon. we're in the mid-20s. 26 here in southern maryland, fredericksburg is 28. 25 newland. jan in reedville is 29. easton is 27. and winchester only 23. plus, the winds are howling. so our wind chills are down in the single digits to lower teens. the warm spot, fredericksburg, feels like 16. the cold spot, garrett county, oakland, 14 below on the wind chills and the winds are howling out there, gusting to near 40 miles an hour in winchester, hagerstown, in baltimore. andrews ai
