this is a new safe parking site along coyote creek on berryessa road. it would allow long term parking for 85 rvs on six acres of land. well, today, the council will debate a resolution calling for nearly $3 million in funds. it hopes to open the site as soon as next month. and it comes as the city re-ups its planned crackdown on unsanctioned, long term parking. well, now to a follow up and a lifeline at last for struggling south bay hospital. santa clara county leaders yesterday finalized a plan to purchase san jose's regional medical center at a cost of $150 million. the hospital and its operator, hca healthcare, have endured drastic cutbacks over the years to try to stay afloat and recently downgraded the hospital's trauma care level. leaders say once this deal closes, trauma care service will be among the first things to be fully restored. it's a very densely populated community, and the downgrading of the level two trauma center at regional medical center. i've said it before would have been a death sentence for the residents of east san jose. the
