good morning, i'm bertha coombs from cnbc. not much love for stocks this morning on wall street. we are set to open lower, although not as low as it looked an hour ago. investors are tracking tensions between russia and ukraine. this follows a rocky week for the markets, which came under pressure from hotter than expected inflation numbers on thursday and fears of that russian invasion of ukraine. the dow tumbling more than 500 points on friday as the white house warned an attack could begin any day. oil prices are trading at more than seven-year highs and that's feeding into prices at the pump on worries that we could see a possible supply disruption. russia is one of the world's largest oil producers. also in focus this week, we're going to be watching for a report on inflation on the wholesale level with producer prices, we'll look at retail sales, unemployment and get a bunch of housing data as well. meantime, coin base made its super bowl debut with an ad featuring a bouncing qr code. folks like me thought that looks kind of boring, but it actually might have worked too well
