beryl is about to move into the coast of texas. and look off towards the east with beryl about to come offshore. and this will likely make landfall as a tropical storm in between corpus christi and houston. 2:00 a.m. our time. so that's very early in the morning on monday, tropical storm, it's a lot of rain, and it's a lot of high surf there. but what beryl is going to do is likely put a block in the atmosphere. look at our heat wave here. as long as beryl is out there falling apart, our ridge of high pressure can't leave. it's not moving. when you look at wednesday and thursday, it is still centered a little too close to us. in one sense you can kind of think about beryl, extending the heat wave. let's look at it in the seven-day forecast. i'll show you what it looks like, the inland numbers with the two least hot days. these numbers are about four, five degrees above average still. but then all of a sudden we get to wednesday and thursday and there is a big spike here. back up to 106. there's good news beyond that. when we get to
