[cheers and applause] >> lawrence: thanks, family.e congresswoman here and congressman, graduated from the same college. i have known you forever back when you were mayor. tell us what is going on in washington and why is there so much disarray with the caucus right now. >> look, you have got 300 million people, plus, in our country right now. what you are seeing going on in congress and what you are seeing going on at tables across the country, you are seeing reflection of differences of opinion. that is not pretty to look at. it is not, you know, it is not always friendly, but those massive debates have to be happening. and when you have got 17.4% inflation, when you have got people paying 60% more for gas. when you have got numbers that are down by 3% for how much people are making. when you have got over 8 million people who have entered our country illegally since biden got in office, which, by the way is more than the population of 38 states, we have some real issues that are face are our country. you are seeing debates going on

this is beth van duyne of texas. think there are a number of people in our conference that have got leadership abilities, that have been able to show them to their peers. you know they they're, they have their back and that they can, they will be there. they have got strong conservative values and they have got a strong voice. i think there's a number of those people in our conference. i just want them to step up and run for leadership. we have seen three of them step up, but, right now, it's all about getting to 217. lisa: who are we talking about, potentially? just in the last bit of time, a new name has in fact emerged. i want to talk about representative jack bergman of michigan. he's a retired marine general who has put out a statement now saying that he did not intend to run for speaker, but, if they cannot decide upon one, that he is willing to be considered as one, that people have approached him for the job, and to serve only until the end of this congress. so that's one name out there, many others that i th
