let's get you started with a look at conditions we observed early in the day out in bethesda, country club, a little distant shot there. clouds moving ahead and some of the morning snow in the fairway, not much melted away. as we get the sun tomorrow all the snow, what's left of it little bit of it will go away. 31 in culpepper right now. 30 degrees reported in annapolis. college park at 29. 28 in ashburn and the upper teens to lower 20's. that's why we get a little bit of snow. every flake that fell stuck somewhere in the grass or walk. certainly within range, we expected farther south from washington, st. mary's county closer to two inches. culpepper a little over an inch and the closer you got to the district lesser and lesser amounts, 10th of an inch. far up north out of the district, just a few flurries. 27 in now. 31 degrees in lexington park and 31 degrees in annapolis. there's really cold air on the western part of the country. that cold air really helped us a lot and helped to steer the low pressure center off shore. as far as any warmer air it's kind of a relative term here.
