a busy intersection shut down after a water main break in bethesda. that is where chris papst is now come alive with a timeline on repairs. chris: as of right now 25 customers in the bethesda area do not have water. it took crews three hours to turn the water off to stop water from gushing over this road after the pipe burst. you can see the damage to the road from the buckling of the asphalt and the giant sinkhole. it will be sometime before this busy intersection in bethesda will be back opened to traffic. you can see what this looked like after 7:00 when the water main busted. we are at the intersection of huntington parkway and bradley boulevard. you can see how much water is flowing over the road. much of it going to the storm drain. you can see how badly the road was buckling then under the pressure of the water. we did not know that big sinkhole was here because it was filled with water. thankfully no one tried to drive through this. neighbors have been trying to take a look at this. they said there is not many newsworthy events were exciting t
