we're live for the bethpage air show.here as well as alice lovejoy. we'll talk to both of them. first we'll talk to juliette. tell us about what you do here. you're a historian and curator. >> i'm the historian and the curator of the wasp exhibit that's been open for 12 years now. it tells the story about the women air force service pilots of world war ii. we're honoring one of the 38 women who was killed in service to country during the war in 1944. her name was alice lovejoy. i came upon her story quite a few years ago. it's kind of captured me. i did some research and this story unfolded before me. >> the lady beside you is very important. this is alice lovejoy's niece who has the same name as alice. thank you for being here. >> this is such a pleasure. i'm on a journey of remembrance because i've learned so much about aunt alice from julia. >> do you visit here often? >> i used to come up with wh my grandparents were alive but i haven't been here in years. this is just a journey to the past. >> we did actually. >> we

the bethpage air show took to the skies one day late due to the bad weather in the area. certainly worth the wait. the fans watched the show. this year's high flying exhibition featured an impressive show. the bethpage air show has been a memorial day tradition for a decade. >>> before he was accused of murdering a soldier in broad daylight, one of the two main suspects in that london terror attack was held in another country. how does he ever go free? >>> and president george w. bush leading the troops as commander-in-chief and this memorial day weekend he hosted some of those war heroes for a bike ride at his texas ranch. that's coming up. you just watched the awesome people do what they do best. >> the raw battle was something that they have never seen before. the whole sea was lit up with big explosions of the big guns firing. what i saw in my camera was a good number of men being shot as they waded through the water. it was always amazing to me that these guys would continue to keep on going. >> the amount of violence we sustained. men and women were doing something
