i'm betty nguyen. we do want to begin with the tragedy unfolding off the coast of south korea where a ferry sank two days ago. search and rescue is under way of the 170 passengers, mostly high school students, who are still missing. at least 25 people have been confirmed dead. with hopes of survivors fading, families of those missing frantically wait for any word on their loved ones. their frustrations mounting. meanwhile, this dramatic amateur video has emerged, showing passengers in life jackets inside the tilting ferry, delaying evacuation. announcement can be heard telling passengers not to move and to stay in place. the investigation has revealed that almost none of the ship's lifeboats were deployed even though one apparently carried the ship's captain to safety. covering his face, he apologized to the victims and their families saying, quote, i am so sorry and i am ashamed. i am at a loss for words. there are reports that the third mate could have been at the ferry's helm when it capsized and no
