ktvu is betty yu live at yerba buena high school with more on all the preparations and the pomp and circumstance morning frank. this parade and festival is to celebrate tet and the vietnamese community, or the lunar new year. now things are going to kick off at 10 a.m, but already we are at the start of the parade, and you can see there are several cars lined up, including lowriders, which are a big part of the san jose culture as well. now all of the festivities will start at ten and it will. it will lead up to a big festival at noon today in nearby little saigon, at the grand century mall. now there will be 35 floats today, and hundreds of students and volunteers on hand all weekend to help put on both the parade and the festival, which is hosted by the nonprofit the vietnamese american roundtable. now, after a hiatus, this is actually the second year the festival will welcome in the lunar new year. there will be food, live entertainment, a marketplace, and so much more. one participant tells me why it's so important for him to keep these cultural traditions alive. >> it's really important for

christina. >> betty yu live for us tonight in oakland. betty. thank you. new video tonight of a wild chase through sonoma and marin county, ending with the arrest of a felony suspect in san rafael. police released this video showing the suspect driving south on 101, in the northbound lanes in san rafael. this was just before two yesterday afternoon. sonoma county's henry one chopper followed that suspect, who was wanted out of rohnert park for a felony crime and assault of an officer. chp, in an effort to save lives, conducted traffic breaks preventing vehicles from driving onto north 101 in central san rafael. you can see that suspect identified as 36 year old casey beck, eventually driving toward the closure at the 101 580 split. and that is when a san rafael police officer used his patrol car to spin beck's vehicle. the maneuver worked, and officers jumped into action to the ground. >> stop the car while the car lay on the ground. on the ground right now. >> the suspect's car caught fire. one officer had to put it out with an extinguisher, while other o
