i also want to acknowledge in the audience today beverly. beverly is one of my colleagues at bpc. and has been interruptal in -- and has instrumental in helping us put together this report. i appreciate your efforts. i'm talking about this report because bpc will be issuing its own report on congressional oversight on july 9th. this is a culmination of almost a year's worth of effort at the center in looking at congressional oversight. oversight in general and the role of the igs. in doing so, i think we came up with some interesting observations which i'm not going to go into today because i don't want to spill that we will be issuing in a short three weeks' span. i want to give an overview about what put it together, who we talked to and our process. when we came together to do this report, we assembled a high level task force of nine members. and we were very fortunate in bringing together some really good talent of folks who span the spectrum of government. we brought together former secretary of agriculture and member of congress from kansas, dan glickman, secretary glickman

back with me, ned ryun and beverly hallburg. this is quick. the republicans want to get it done quickly. mcconnell stepped up to the plate, he's going to get it done. i think president trump feels like he has a chance to make history and i think he'll go with a woman as his pick. ned: it has to be a 40-something, and a rock style federalist society judge which means they will be strict constitutional realists. the most of important thing for me is that trump puts the supreme court out of the reach of the left for at least a generation or more. when it's all said and done, his signature accomplishment will be his complete restructuring of the federal judiciary only in the at the supreme court, but the courts below. a lot of evangelicals broke late for trump over the judges issue. if he gives them another neil gorsuch they will become foot soldiers for him in the 2020 re-elect. charles: this feels like a common thread that unites almost every single one. you have to be the rarest of never trumpers, old establishment guys who will never come back
