attorney for the southern district of new york preet bharara and sarah isgur.the supreme court said no special counsel jack smith's request to expedite a ruling on whether trump has total immunity. how big of a setback was that for the special counsel? >> it remains to be seen. obviously the special counsel argued stridently for fast tracking the case and getting it done quickly because there's an election coming up. it's still possible the d.c. court of appeals deals with the matter quickly. it's also possible the supreme court will immediately take jurisdiction and decide the case, but it may not. if it doesn't, trump has the ability to go to the d.c. circuit. if it fails there, he can go to the supreme court. that could take some months. the march 4th trial date looks like it won't happen. >> we're talking about weeks, not months. >> yeah, but weeks can turn to months quickly. >> sarah, let me ask you this, what is the likelihood we'll see either the federal case involving election interference or the classified documents case actually happen before the nove
